Looking for a good cocktail to chase away your mid-winter blues? Try a Siesta! It’s a tequila based drink similar to a margarita but with a little more going on. In addition to the tequila, lime and simple syrup . . . it has grapefruit juice and Campari. I don’t know about you but I love Campari. And we all need a little more vitamin C in our diets these days. With all that fresh citrus, you might just wake up with glowy skin after downing a few of these. Ok, probably not.

If you need something to gnosh on with your drinks try my Perfect Pico de Gallo! Looking for more Campari cocktails. Try a spritz!

The Siesta is a “short” cocktail. It is best to serve it in a coup, cocktail, or margarita glass. Personally prefer coup glasses for my Siestas and Margaritas. A lot of margarita glasses are oversized – better for larger frozen margaritas and daiquiris. These babies are strong so a four ounce glass is best.

We can all use a little more vitamin C in the winter!
The grapefruit juice and Campari gives these cocktails a lovely pink color!

You can’t have home bar without a cocktail shaker. Look for a pretty one if you display it on your bar cart while it is not in use! HomeGoods is a great place to find fun affordable shakers. Here are a few from Amazon too. Jiggers and juicers are also essential.
